Basic use of a 4x4 vehicle (Half Day & Full Day Sessions)

These days are perfect for persons wishing to learn to drive their 4x4 off road in a safe controlled environment, the course is specifically designed to train you how to use your 4x4 safely, teaching you basic off road techniques. Suitable for all drivers. This is a one to one tuition with your instructor.

Full Day Course

A structured training course specifically designed for any person using a four-wheel drive vehicle for work situations. The full day course starts with a classroom session then you will be taken into the woodland to learn the basic techniques, break for lunch and then back into the vehicles again where you will learn the more advanced techniques. This will include practice of failed hill reverse techniques, negotiation cross ruts, steep inclines and declines, muddy - hard ground and water. The techniques learnt during the course will give the trainee the ability to drive 4x4 vehicles off road safely and confidently. Trainees will be expected to complete theoretical and practical tests whilst being assessed. All persons attending the course will be required to bring their drivers license, notebook and pen, relevant outdoor clothing, and their 4x4 vehicle normally used for work together with its handbook or manual showing its 4wd operating system. Price depends on each individual company requirements.

Recovery Training

We are currently offering a full day recovery training course.
You will learn recovery techniques using a Hi-LIft Jack, Winch and other tools.
For the recovery training this can be taken in one of the centres vehicles or your own vehicle.

For people wishing to take part in the recovery training you will need to have some basic off road driving skills.

Courses can be tailored to suit most clients requirements.

For clients using thier own vehicles - frame mounted tow points are required.

Try Out Days for those of you new to off road driving NEW date Sunday 2nd May 2010

The emphasis of our owner driver courses is to allow you to find the safe limitations of your vehicle, without putting yourself or your vehicle at risk - we promote safe non damaging use of your 4x4 vehicle.

Our aim is to meet the needs of our clients who want to discover their own vehicles capabilities. We understand that getting to know how your vehicle works and how to drive it safely is especially important if you are taking it off road.

You will be amazed at what your 4x4 vehicle can do.

We have courses and drive your own vehicle days to suit all levels of driver.

On all our courses you will get to practice all the techniques:

• Side Slopes
• Crossing Water
• Hill Descents
• Hill Climbs
• And much more

Our Novice Driving Days are suitable for all make of 4x4 vehicles.

The Try-Out Day will consist of a morning classroom session how your 4x4 works, group 4x4 instruction learning all the techniques listed above, & convoy driving around the site following your instructor. In the afternoon you will be given a map to follow and you will beable to use the 4x4 course to practise the basic skills you will have learned in the morning session. You will be observed by your instructor whilst you are using the course in the afternoon and he will be on hand for any help you may require.

Price £110.00 per 4x4 including 2 occupants.
Any extra passengers may attend but will be required to pay an additional £10.00 per person for insurance

Tea-coffee and light lunch will be supplied for Noivice Driving Day.
